When I was talking with my parents about the "organic food" and how companies can get more money by calling eggs "free range". My mom pointed out to me that she was already quite aware of the situation. That was the reason that we actively participate in a csa and have our own egg source (4 chickens that can roam around 1/3 of an acre). My mom is also allergic to corn so she was also well aware that corn is in just about everything. She really wasn't surprised about anything I told her and she completely agreed that we do need to do something about the system we have now.
